About Ms Bona Lee

Ms Bona Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea and studied at the Korean Cooking Academy.

She was influenced very early on in life by her mother who worked in a prominent Korean restaurant as a Chef and later Restaurant Manager that cooked and hosted prominent identities such as the President of South Korea.

Ms Bona Lee is internationally certified and licensed to train Chefs in Japanese, Korean, Western and Chinese cuisine. It was her dream to own and operate a small restaurant specialising in sushi, sashimi and associated Japanese meals. 

In 2003, that dream came true when she established Sushi Junction Mosman Pty Ltd and has maintained her ownership until today. 

Her fusion style has seen the menu enhanced with rice paper rolls, a wide choice of dumplings, soups, noodle dishes, salads and various hot food meals for eat in or take away.

In 2003 Ms Bona Lee set up a second Sushi business at Westfield Bondi Junction called Sushi Bar. This store was a small kiosk directly in front of Woolworths on Level 3, and continued operating until 2009.

Impressed with the response from the public, in 2009 Westfield Bondi Junction management offered Ms Bona Lee the opportunity of setting up a store in each tower near Woolworths and Coles. 

Sushi Junction Bondi Pty Ltd was incorporated and operates both Sushi Connection Bondi stores which have proved very popular over the last 12 years and continue to grow.
